12-1pm        U7 Development Camp ($160 incl. HST)- wait list
1-2:30pm    Developing Defence U13/U15 ($240 incl. HST)
2:30-4pm    Intro to Body Contact ($240 incl. HST)- wait list

 

*All camps require 10 players to run. Participants will be notified two weeks prior if the camp does not meet the required number of participants.

U7 Development Camp
At our U7 Development Camps, our goal is to foster passion for the game of hockey and to make players excited to go to the rink. Our experienced instructors break down the basic hockey skills into relatable chunks so that young players can learn the proper techniques necessary to build a strong training base. Over the course of the week, players will engage in skating, shooting and puck handling drills mixed with a ton of games to create a fun and positive environment for learning.
Developing Defence
We are bringing back our Developing Defence camp to give players an opportunity to hone their offensive and defensive skills heading into the upcoming season. The week begins with a focus on specific skating, angling, puck handling and passing skills, progressing to defence-specific skill drills that will target situations that they will see in games. Pressure will be added progressively throughout the week to help prepare players for tryouts.
Intro to Body Contact
Similar to skating, shooting and passing, body checking is a skill that can be taught. Our Intro to Body Contact camp delivers everything that a player will need to prepare them for U15 hockey. Our program will teach players how to deliver hits and receive hits safely while also teaching angling skills and situational awareness to help them gain an understanding of dangerous locations on the ice. As the week progresses, players will be placed into position-specific drills where they are likely to be hit. This will help players to improve their understanding and confidence of how to apply their skills in a game situation to prepare them for tryouts.

Medical Information

Refund Policy In order to hold a participants spot in any of our camps, a $50 non-refundable down payment is required. The remainder of the cost is due on the first day of camp.

Payments can be made by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to Fox School of Hockey.

Fox School of Hockey reserves the right to cancel camps at any time due to low enrolment. In the event of this happening, you will be notified by phone and your money will be fully refunded.
